Parking Light removal

Stupid amount of extra heavy metal all over

Stupid question, but how does the parking light bulb holder come out on 2nd gen headlights. I've search all over and can't find an explanation or picture that shows how.

Mine seems pretty stuck in there, tried rotating and pulling and it won't budge. I can always apply more force, but don't want to break it.

Stupid amount of extra heavy metal all over

Nevermind, figured out the trick. Leaving the wiring harness attached gave enough extra leverage to unscrew it a quarter turn which freed it up.

When I bought replacement housings, the bulb was stuck too. Guess the plastic mold was out of spec. I grabbed a pair of channel locks. Worked well.
