Ive been too busy until recently to work on the truck. I installed new cats, headers, plugs, boots, wires, timing belt, water pump, idlers and tensioners. I checked the valves. The truck runs exactly as before.

I talked to a guy that I shoot with, he has one exactly like mine, except the lift and the bigger tires. He said he pulls a large popup camper through the mountains with no problem.

Looks like I will have to supercharge it.

I think this is a big thing. I drive a 2010 F250 for work. When I get back in the Tacoma, it feels like I must be down a cylinder. Takes a bit to get used to.

Full ome lift, nitro charger sports all 4 corners (rear shocks relocated), Dakar pack w/ AAL, 882 coils, diff drop, toytec 1" shackles, trail gear low profile front bumper, Tuff Stuff winch, bamf sliders, RAT skids, BAMF Bed Rack, Tepui Kukenam RTT, RAT rear bumper,
These tacomas non supercharged are turds, esp with bigger tires, more weight, wind resistance, etc. I love mine more than anything, but would never expect the power to feel like any of the v8's or turboed vehicles I have owned. ^^^^ it takes some getting used to, yep. And forget about using cruise control on the smallest of hills.

I live in the Plains, we consider a hill anything with an elevation change of 35 feet. Ive owned V6 cars before, and they would run circles around this thing. Its really not that bad, it just wont maintain highway speed very well. 16 mpg is the best ive got.
I did take it out in the sand hills and it went anywhere I wanted to go. grey wire mod would have helped when I went. I didn't realize you had to be in 4 low to engage. You have to keep your speed up in the sand and I was running in 4 high. I have since done the mod and I am anxious to try it out again.
