I installed the adjustable Toytec coilovers a few weeks ago. They're set at 2.5" of lift. Rides ok. Not great. I'm thinking of adding a plate bumper (120lbs-135lbs) I know once the weight is on I can adjust the coilovers to get my 2.5"s of lift back but will this roughin' the ride? The Toytec coils are rated at 600# I believe. Would it be better to just adjust the current coilovers to regain my 2.5" of lift once the bumper is on or change the coils to 886? I'm assuming both are doable but I'm looking for the not so jarring smoother ride. I know the whole purpose of the coilovers is that they are adjustable but the coil rate stays the same (600#) even if they are loaded more as far as I understand. So should I have a higher rated coil?

Higher rated coils "usually" mean stiffer ride...unless you are throwin tons of armor/weight up front..

I didn't notice hardly any drop with a plate bumper so I left my TT CO's at 2.5. Not sure on what tires you are running but my 285's Nitto's with the 2.5" setting is factory smooth.
