I had shocks replaced in 2007 and now they say I need new ones on the front. My paperwork doesn't say if that was for the front or back. How long do replaced shocks last? I was also told my control arm- upper control bushel is cracked.

Welcome. If the truck is 'bouncy' or has a rough ride, shocks are leaking or broke or 120k ish miles I'd say replace them. Also if you want a set of stock UCAs in near brand new condition shoot me a PM, I think I have a set laying around I will give to you (if you pay for shipping).

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Time to rebuild the front end. Welcome to the Club!

The shocks are the least of my concern right now as their not that bad right now. Found out today my front upper control arm is cracked and the bushings are cracked in the upper and lower.
