Teenage Mutant Ninja Tacoma

We saw this out on the highway today. I'm not sure if the guy had a specific purpose in mind when he built this or just had too much time on his hands. Has anybody else ever seen a shell like this? My wife and I both thought it was just kind of odd.

 

I saw this one the other day too, thought it was a little different.

 

Maybe its for a specific purpose, but what's the point if the whole ass end is still open?

 

Definitely looks home made. And someone put a lot of work into it.

I'm not sure if you realize it or not, but the top pops up on that camper, and collapses down for transport like shown in that photo. Its a cool concept IMHO, unlike the wooden tortoise shell.
