I can't even justify $70 for a shift knob! Not just for looks at least-maybe if I was done modding my truck and that was all that was left. But they sure do look nice. And good idea with the slush fund

Not my pic here, but this is the one I got. Yeah I know it's an automatic, and "Just for looks" but I really hated how cheap the stock, plastic base knob looked. Especially since my base PreRunner has the convenience group, which includes a leather steering wheel. It may seem silly to some, but because I can see the improvement from inside the truck, .vs a mod you only see or notice from the outside, it's actually one of those subtle improvements that was worth while.

Honestly, I once paid more than $200 for a shift knob when I had my '88 Porsche Carrera, so $70 seems very reasonable to me. Because it's OEM, I feel like the leather will be a higher quality, and last longer down the road. Again while it may sound silly to some, I feel the same for a guy that will spend $3K in suspension mods (Icons, Billies, Long travel setups etc..), only to drive it on the street and not get dirty(So to each his own right).

Oh don't worry, I completely understand. The interior is the best part of the truck, it's what you see! I generally get more excited over interior mods anyway. I am considering replacing my 07 center with a 2009 center. Not the new touchscreen, but a nice little upgrade for me, plus added utility of BT and aux. I spent $300 on a lift that would have been $600 new, and I never leave highway except for the maybe twice/year beach trip. I absolutely love it.

Truck looks good with that lift, and I like your FJ Teams wheels, look perfect and better on the Taco than they do on the FJ. If I never left the pavement, I would probably get the 5100's or Rancho Quick lift and an AAL, then call it a day.

Yup, 5100s all around, eibachs I got on the cheap, and an AAL. Next summer may upgrade if the big $$$ comes. Thanks for the compliments! Only thing is if you look close they are highway tires and look a bit unusual due to the usual mud tires you see on Tacos.

I'm in same boat, got the stock Dunlops on off-road wheels. Looks good from a far, but kind of funny up-close. As much as I would love a more aggressive tire, I'm simi reluctant as I don't want to compromise mileage.

Which is why I downsized in the first place from a '13, FX4, EcoBoost. I'm afraid if I plus size the tire, and go more aggressive, I will be back into F-150 like mileage.

What was your mileage in the F150? When I put these highway tires on I gained 2-3 MPG. But I came from 20" heavy rims, so you will probably see 2 MPG. But also, that was just jumping from another street tire. (Falken Ziex). I bet jumping from an all terrain tire would be a nice boost.

Man ... that thing would go on and on ... do it!

All the time ... I get stoked over something and want to share. When I stick my head in from the garage and say, "Sweetie, got a minute?"

She has come around to at least showing some interest ... as fake as it is at times.

Haha well at least she is trying, that is what counts. Mine loved the lift but wasn't sure about it when I was only talking about it. I recently asked what if I had changed my interior LEDs (Not dome, but radio/cluster/other dash lights) to light blue instead of orange. She was like "...What's wrong with orange? Sure..."
