I have an 01 Tacoma with a 3 inch lift. The upper ball joint rubber housing might be torn because its leaking a little grease. Sometimes when I am turning like up a curb at an angle I hear a little bit of metallic grind and I presume it might be the ball joints. It doesn't happen all the time and it doesn't sound bad but it concerns me.

I want to upgrade in very near future to much beefier ball joints with the zerk fittings and also get a more appropriate angled upper control arms for my lift/build.

Is it possible in the meantime to get in there and "grease" these OEM ball joints so they don't get too bad and fail?. I just don't want something catastrophic happening.

I'm happy to post some pix if you are curious!
