Had to go out to the truck and get the user manual. On p42, it tells you how to program your own X-gauge. The info you want is:

    TXD: 07E021D9
    RXF: 032180000000
    RXD: 2810
    MTH: 00070064FE70
    NAM: TFT
    NOTES: Degrees F

NAM is the name of the X-gauge and stands for transmission fluid temperature. You can make it anything you want. I assume that this is the convertor temp because you can see it changing rapidly when the convertor isn't locked. The pan temp would change more slowly. I don't know whether there is a separate monitor for pan temp, nor how it would be programmed into the SG.

    HTH.

Can you get any of these gauges to read tire pressure? I think it would be handy to see each tire like my wife's Acura.

no the tpms is either low or high from the reset value
it doesn't send pressure to the canbus just a signal light on or light off

scangauge x-gauge can be set up
    with two for the tranny

converter where immediate heat increase comes from
pan where it is average temp

I have both programmed and forgot the x-gauge codes for both

but anyhow transmission temp is a critical gauge and those who
have ultragauges and cannot see tranny temps ? u r missing out

critical things to see on any gauge
    ---
    water temp
    tranny temp 1 and 2
    volts

watching how these behave over time can make a new
issue stand out...like tranny cooler failure or water cooling system failure

or basic ...hey I am towing a f**kton and climbing a bunch of hills,
lets see how my tranny temp handles it...if you see it climbing above 200
a lot, then you know you need a tranny fluid service done more often
    (severe service interval)

That's too bad. Hell, I rented a U-Haul to move my kid back to college and even that piece of crap had the TPMS read-out.

Quick question, does the scangauge automatically determine MPG or does it have to be calibrated like Ultragauge?

They all have to be calibrated. I mean, it does show MPG out of the box, but calibrating it, makes it more precise.

Ya wouldn't happen to remember where you got them, would ya? When I originally searched for the temp code, I only found the one. I'd like to have the other, too.

I watch the trans temp when I'm towing my dirt bike. I've seen it just hit 200°. I've done a trans flush and will be doing periodic drain and fills now that I'm towing.

edit: OK, figured it out. 2010+ Tacos have two sensors. Older ones (mine) do not.
