Just an fyi guys. Will be a slow shipping day tomorrow. Getting ready for a move and need to take a day to deal with some logistics, plus pickup another trailer load of Taco bumpers. I'll try to get a few out then pick up the pace again on Thursday.

Still need to finish up install docs too in the morning. I need a clone. Will be doing some hiring after the move for sure.

    Good point!

    Brad,

I really appreciate you making this happen for the 2nd Gen's - exactly what I wanted for both trucks!

    :bowdown::bowdown:

Now what's the status on the 5th Gen 4Runner?

    :boink:

    Hello Brad:

The Winch Mount made it in one piece. The two tabs on the back are a bit bent, but nothing I cannot handle. All in all looking good. Looking forward to getting this on the truck. The box however, almost didn't make it to Maryland and I don't think it's going to make it to (through) Russia. Most of the staples were popped. The only thing that really held the box together was one of the strands of tape. Maybe polyurethane packing foam will stabilize the bumper in the box. I am attaching a picture of the bottom of the box. You can see four holes and they were getting bigger.

I just had a long talk with my UPS rep about this. I don't know how to better pack them. I started adding another layer of double wall to the bottom today but these guys are just throwing them around. I'm about to make a switch to FedEx but I have a feeling they won't be any better.

I told my driver to tell the loaders here in town that I'm coming down there to treat them just like they are treating my packages...

The tabs can be straightened out with no risk.

I'm working with my box manufacturer now and have tried some new tricks today. I'm also lighting up UPS and if I get my way will start getting some shipping refunds for you guys.

Now that the first few have hit customers do we have any pics mounted on trucks? I'm really curious to see what this looks like with a nice coat of flat black and a winch mounted in it.

Same results in shipping for me. Staples were not very useful. Tape was only thing holding box closed. Haven't opened it yet, but I didn't have as large of holes in my box. Overall, it is one of the better deliveries from ups.

Other than the staples not holding and the pressure from the feet rubbing the bottom of the box, I think you have it. The tabs are supposed to be bent up, correct? Didn't unwrap mine, as I am taking it to the Line x place to be coated.

Well.. the tabs are perpendicular to the ground when mounted.. but as it sits in the box they will have an upward pitch.

Even though I put about 10 staples in it to close I've started using about 14 today. It's a tight fit top so not sure how they are getting loose. I'm using 3/4" staples which are the longest I can use with my BeA Pneumatic stapler and are suggested for double wall cartons.

UPS is going to have a talk with the loaders at the Fort Worth facility but that won't help much at other locations. Obviously it can make it to Virginia without much trauma so one would think it can go anywhere without destruction.

I'm going to get some fiber tape for safety and start using it for packages starting this weekend as well. I've also been adding more material to the bottom along with some reinforce padding on the tabs.

I feel like I'm spending more time and effort for packaging than I did on the bumpers...

I am not complaining in anyway, so no one please take it that way. I buy, sell, and ship, and I like feedback from my customers on the condition of their item and shipment. Just providing some pics and feedback.

And yes, for it to have made it from tx to va is this condition, I am happy.

Now my dilemma is do I put this on my 2012 or trade up to a 2015 trd pro?

And I'm certainly not taking it as you complaining... I always appreciate feedback!
