Hey guys, been searching for the culprit of why my headlights didn't turn off when my driver door is opened. I've done a lot of searching and it sounds like some of you guys have had the same issue. Real PITA when you just want to leave your headlights on all the time.

Anyways, I realized that sometimes my dome light didn't come on either, so i reached down and played with door open switch, and what do you know...Headlights turned off, Dome light on.

I guess the headlight off/car off circuit is obviously wired with that door open switch. so if the switch is going bad, and you close the door before the headlights ever get the signal that it was ever open...Headlights will stay on.

Simple fix - change out your driver side door switch with one of the passenger doors switches as all four are the same switch. I'm sure they are cheap but my rear passenger door rarely ever gets used so I just swapped out the switch.

Enjoy leaving your headlights on all the time!
