I'm trying to hook up a new head unit and am not sure where to hook up the parking brake, VSS, and reverse gear signal wires.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for these?

    Thanks

Are you talking about a NEX 6000? We would need to know more about your truck... like the year and what stereo is in it now. If you search on here you will find your answer instantly tho, with images... believe it or not you're not the first person to ask this

Yep, its the NEX. I have 2012 with the non jbl non touchscreen stock stereo. I have been searching posts and some people have said it's behind the glove box while others have said the drivers side kicker panel.

Just want to be sure before I start splicing into wires.

Not sure if it's different in your 2012, but in my 05 it was def in the kick panel. Youll probly have the kickpanel off anyway during your install, so poke your head down there and look for a red/white stripe wire in the top left pin of one of the harnesses. Then, use a miltimeter to see if it gets power in reverse and no power when not in reverse. Bam, theres your reverse wire.

If you're doing the bypass youll need a ground to connect to also and theres a handy one in the kickpanel too. :):)

    Awesome,

Thanks for the advice, and yes I think I am going to do the parking brake bypass, seems easier than wiring to the parking brake.

Ya youll be glad you did the bypass. Not so much to watch movies while driving, but there are lots of other restrictions that get removed too.

Sorry cant help ya on the VSS wire i didnt need it for my nex4000... but you should be able to find a thread on it if ya google.
