    That's where they put the weights for aftermarket wheels on the inside. You wouldn't want weights on the front/outer part of your new wheels.

    Actually it depends on where the Roadforce balancer wants them to put the weight. It isn't necessarily better to have them on the outside. The balancer will determine based on the force profile if it is better to have the weight on the inside, outside or in the middle. Stick on weights are actually better because of the freedom of placement along the width of the wheel.

    I have used both over the years. To be honest, I have had better luck keeping the sticky weights on. They can't get cleaned off when wheeling or when my wife parks by feel. When they are rotating, the weight is being pushed into the rim instead of trying to hang on for dear life.

    The only time I have had an issue is if some sort of solvent works its way into the adhesive., but that was only once and I caught it before it flew off.
