Shop with a Cop Fund raiser

Hey guys and gals in the North GA area,

In Macon County NC (city of Franklin) there is going to be a Shop with a Cop Fundraiser auto show. Everyone is welcome to attend. I invite everyone to attend and join. It would be cool to see some more of the TW peeps there, and anyone you know that has a car they would like to put in the show. Should be a great turn out.


Last year was great and around christmas all the money goes to children that are less fortunate. The public safety people take the children to walmart. They are allotted money that is split between all the children. (last year all the children received $100 a piece) They are able to buy what the want but have to get someone else a gift. We then take the children out to lunch and then to go wrap gifts. Santa is always there too.

Its actually open to anyone. Pretty much what happens though is people in the community (mostly Teachers of the children, and DSS) that know families that need help or that know the parents can not buy children christmas go and talk to the Sheriffs office and sign the children up. The sheriff then reviews the people the families are then notified of when and where their kids need to be on day of event. Some of the cops will even go to the houses to pick the children up if no transportation is available for them.
