I was going to purchase a backup camera for my standard cab 4x4 base.
The tailgate has the wires for the camera so I thought I was plug and play. But I just pulled back the headliner and there are no wires for the mirror.
Does that sound right? I would think that either they would run all the wires or none of them?
Crazy how Toyota does things. I was not pre wired for my cruise either when I heard most cabs are.

Second question. Can anyone tell me where the harness for the mirrors back up camera wire starts from? Does it go up the a pillar or come from the back of the cab by the dope light?

Doing the same thing here, put the cam in thought it would go to the touch screen radio, no such luck. Did you get it to work?
