Up for sale is a Thule Xsporter adjustable rack and Tacoma adapters for the track system. This is the earlier version that only has two slots to adjust the height however since I have a shortbed I lowered them to the top of the fenders and cut an extra slot in each arm. It was clean job and this lowered the rack just below the roof line yet you can still raise it for ladders, lumber, etc. I'm assuming the long beds will allow it to fully lower. I used the rack to haul a rooftop tent, sold the tent, have a camper shell, and don't need the rack anymore. It was taken off the truck after every outing and stored inside. I'm located in North Alabama and willing to travel between Birmingham, Nashville, and Chattanooga for delivery or a meet. Comes with locks, keys, and 2 load stops. $300 with stated delivery or $275 local pick up in zip code 35640, Hartselle, Al. Not really interested in shipping at this time due to size and weight, doubt you'd want to pay for it.

    Trying to understand the limitations...
Does the picture show it lowered to its lowest point for a short bed?

    Thanks,
    Randy

This pic shows it at it's lowest setting that can be used on the short bed Tacoma. The bottoms of the uprights are approx .5in above the fender. Granted, if you want it lower on a short bed Tacoma you will have to cut the bottoms off of the uprights which wouldn't be too difficult with a reciprocating saw and attention to detail.

Also, if you notice in the pic I could use a standard 5ft tool chest and the lid would fully open in this height setting.

Thanks for clarifying. I'd like the rack but for numerous reasons, it's not practical for me. Thanks anyway. Good price. GLWS
