Up and running for 1 day now, not a lot of time to play with it to find all the hidden features
Initial reaction was it sucks... took the guys at the shop an hour to get the Ipod videos to play on it (yes works with the newer ipods and old)
Anyway user interface and lack of instructions are hard to learn, I had to call tech support to turn down Nav guidance volume... once you see it, it gets easy!... just sit a play with it for an hour and you'll be happy as a pig in Sh_t. I've had a AVIC Z1 and this puts it to shame... now that I understand the controls... Blue tooth is great, nav - hands down is better than Honda OEM, Lexus OEM, and Pioneer... had all of them.
The Ipod speed is incredible! 60 gig on mine and can search A-Z in seconds, switch and play a movie instantly. I'll try for pics & all the specs of the install this weekend and comment more after more time getting used to it.
I went with a pioneer 12" shallow sub and a JL 500/5 amp... cranks, but I'm an old fart who does not like thump bass :)

Does the Kenwood 8120 have a Back-Up camera option?

The installer called me to see how things are and I mentioned how people liked the dash kit... long story short, the aamp kit on my ticket was broke and he had a metra kit overnighted as it was the fastest one he could get.

Just got my Kenwood 8120 installed. Still learing all the ins and outs of the unit. Got it with XM, I-Pod interface with cable in center console, and the rear-view camera.

Hey, anybody with the 8120 figure out how to program the garage door opener buttons? I can get a signal generated, but can not find the remote learn button?
Home link in my old pilot worked ... any help be appreciated!

I haven't even played with it enough to know it had an option for the garage door opener. I need to find time to sit down and figure out everything it can do.

Will this unit work decently with the standard non-jbl factory system? I'd like to go ahead and get this up and running until I get speakers, amps, etc...

How hard would this 8120 be to install by yourself?

I just ad this put in and it's ok. The menus are not very user friendly and the sound quality actually went down from the stock head unit. I go the xm nav traffic and the install shop put it in the dash, my signal is crappy and I'm wondering if it's because the reciever is under the dah. The reciever is kind of big and I really don't want it being an eyesore on my dash. Does anyone else have the nav traffic reciever and if so where did you put it?

Maybe a stupid question, can you have the cd/tuner playing while using the gps? I don't want to be on a long trip and have no tunes or not be able to get directions......
