Neons on door switch?

    cold air intake, body lift, suspension lift.
    so ive had a couple white 48" neon tubes for awhile now an i was thinking about using them to light up the ground when i open my doors... that way i wont step in cat shit anymore...lol.. anyways i was wondering what the best way to do it is....

    is the switch a 12v positive or is it something else?

    I am not sure if your truck's dome light comes on when you unlock your truck, but you can hook them up to that if they do.

    Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
    It's something else. The courtesy switches ground the ciruit from the integration relay (sinking ciruit). I haven't been able to locate a diagram for the 95.5-97 taco but the previous and post years indicate the system hasn't changed. If you want to power the neon's when the door is open, you will have to use the dome light or a seperate switch and relay circuit. IMHO

    I would use the dome light as a low amperage signal to switch your relay that powers your lights.
