When installing my UCA's on the left side I could raise or lower the LCA to help install the new UCA's. On the right side when I tried moving the LCA up with a bottleneck jack the whole truck goes up. I got everything installed, just wondering why one LCA moves and the other doesn't? Any info would be appreciated. Thx

Good to know but the truck is like new. I had Firestone do an alignment and they had no idea what they were doing. They had the A- cams all over the place. Took it to a truck shop and a very reputable truck guy got it driving great with a tape measure, LoL. Ya, sounds like it's binding somehow or cud the LCA just be torqued to tight? Anyway just wanted to make sure that wasn't a normal thing. Thx for the info.

I'll update u when I get that fixed in case somebody has the same prob. It's a 2012 with 20,000 miles and I've looked at those LCA alignment cams for hours and they are super clean. Don't think it's corrosion in this case.

Usually the second thing occurs. The whole truck goes up, not just the arm. I would check around the side you did first and look for any damage to the sway bar end link, spring, or shock

I jacked up the whole front end using the center pumpkin so the suspension is at full droop then put a jack under the LCA to take pressure off when I separated the stock uca from the spindle and by moving the uca up or down helped with lining up the Icon uniball bolt into the spindle. So the LCA should or shouldn't be able to go up? Still not sure

    my guess..

Seen it before when over torqued. Bushing is squished and LCA won't cycle by hand with everything removed. The LCA mounts are paper thin and can be bent by hand with the LCA removed so a little to much torque with them installed can hurt.

Called the mechanic and he said 140 which is not right. Going to buy a torque wrench tonight. Think we figured it out. Am I going to mess up the alignment by loosening the alignment cams and re-torquing them. Never done this before? Thx for all your help!
