My A/c system has been giving me the run around lately. Everything seems to be running great but when I turn off my truck and then go and restart it the A\c does not work. It takes a couple tries while driving to get it working. Or until I stop again turn off my truck and back on. Could this problem be caused by switch? I've notice light for my A\c has gone out and have to give it a flick to turn it on. Or could be something entirely to do with the compressor\blower?

Im thinking a loose connection since you have to flick the switch to light up.

Have you checked the relay for the switch to make sure it's contacting?

You might also try just sliding the lever from off to low, medium low, medium high and high a couple of times and see what that does.

I have checked the fuse if that's what you mean by the relay? Also checked the wires underneath the glove box. Nothing seemed wrong. I saw a thread here about cleaning the blower motor. Before I do that I might take it to a specialists.

Nope, the actual AC switch has contacts that could be dirty, I would try and find the relay and switch to inspect it.
