I've phoned around to a few places, and the prices I got were pretty average, at about $120 plus tax. Only one place, Midas, offered the service for $90 plus tax. I'm wondering if I should go for the cheaper alternative, or stick with the other shops, hoping they'll spend the extra time to do it right. I'm not noticing any hard spots in the steering, but it's got over 100K Km's on it, and could use a flush I'm sure. I'd like to get it done soon, but not sure where to go. Any advice from fellow Canucks, would you go to Midas, or go to somewhere like the dealer for this service. I don't want to have to end up replacing the rack, cause Midas screwed up.

    $120 is cheap.....

If you're mechanically inclined, you can do it yourself. I've never done it on a 2nd gen..... but I did it on my 96.

If you search this forum or google, lots of hits to read thru - https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=tacoma+power+steering+flush

You just gotta decide which writeup or information you want to use.
