    3'' lift (bilsteins+OME 5100's)
So I want to start by saying, yes I used the search tool. It seems that most people like the bilstein 5100's and the eibach coils with a AAL in the rear. So that was the lift that I was going to go with too but...I have a single cab with the 2.7 motor and toytec does not recommend that lift for single cab with this motor.

    They say on their website:
"** This lift is not recommend for Standard cab or Tacoma's with a 4 cylinder 2.7L engine size. Ride quality can be quite firm and you will achieve more than 3" of lift. **"

So my question: is this true? I have seen other single cabs with this lift but that doesn't mean its good for the truck.

    Any advice/help?
    Thanks ahead of time

I wouldn't say its bad for your model, probably should've told you that your ride is going to be pretty stiff because of less weight of the truck

Don't go that route, Do a 5100 in all 4 corners, Old Man Emu 881 or 882 spring, with a Add a Leaf or ZUK mod for the rear. Diff drops and BPV Relocation don't hurt either.

I'm runnin' bilstein shocks and toytec coils on the front. The ride is a lil stiff but I like it. I would say I have right at 3" of lift, maybe even less.

thanks for the help guys i don't want the ride to be to stiff so the bilsteins and OME coils sound like the right choice for the money+performance.

do you prefer the 881's, 882's, or 883's on a single cab - I'm wary of the 881's because I don't know if I want to have top spacer...

    thanks again

882's if you plan on bumper and whinch, for now 881's are fine, and ride is good with the 881's and 5100's.

Might be a little too firm with single cab

883 would be way too stiff on your truck. My 03 Access cab is running OME shocks and 883's on the front and i have about 100 lbs worth of skids under it.

Go with the 881's unless you plan to add Skids and a bumper with winch.
