Tire pressure sensor and changing wheels

I'm sure this is redundant but I haven't found the answer yet...I have an '08 Tacoma and want to put new wheels and tires on. Can I easily remove my stock wheels and just put on new ones or is there going to be a problem with the pressure sensor? I don't know if the sensor is on the wheel or on the brake.

Do you have alloy or steel rims?
Are you keeping your stock set of rims and tires?

The sensors are screwed into each wheel for 06+ tacomas.
The alloy and steel wheel sensors are different.
The alloy wheel sensors are reported to swap more easily to aftermarket applications than the steel.
The steel wheel sensors are reported to swap to some aftermarket rim applications if turned a 180 degrees when having new tires mount.

My wheels are alloy and I plan to keep them so mabe it will be easy. Tomorrow I'm going to put some 275 x 17s on from a tundra and see how it works. Haven't lifted it yet, so I'm guessing they'll be too big.

Make sure you let all the air out first, then unscrew the sensor so it falls in the tire before you try and break the bead seating

How much do 4 sensors cost to replace? OEM and Aftermarket?

 

I paid $85(each) online, stealership was $130 , oem sensors

 

Ouch! I hate these darn sensors!
