If you plan on taking it off road I would avoid spacers...

Do yourself a favor and dont buy a spacer lift save more money and and get a complete coilover package.I have a spacer lift up front and a add a leaf in the rear and now Im in the process of ordering new springs and struts for the front because it rides like a tank and my front struts are worn out ,do it once right and save time and money in the long run.If you have high mileage your front suspension is probably already reached its life expectancy

5100s are a level above spacers. Or is preloading springs hella the best way to lift everything anymore?
I don't understand the love affair with plastidip and preloading springs and thinking it's the shit. Get decent shocks and lift coils.

    5100s at 2.5 are silly

I've had the HBS level kit on my '97 for a year now and have beat the crap out of it and have had zero issues other than trying to get it aligned properly. Threw on a set of LR uppers and alignment is spot on. As far as the alignment thing goes unless you do control arms, no matter whether its a $20 spacer or $1500 coil over, if you lift the front you'll have the same issue. Only difference will be ride quality and the HBS being a top plate spacer will ride the same as stock.
