These trucks aren't all that reliable for a truck that's been pretty much unchanged for over a decade and the stuff they did change seems to be lacking the same quality......Access cab ceiling speakers for example

    I think some people:

Have OCD and can't handle these trucks falling apart on them
Don't do proper research upfront and buy wrong
    Like having a new truck
    Like having a warranty
Like not having a rusted out frame
    Like car payments

I'd agree on that for some people

    yep

in debt up to their eyeballs...

I'd rather be the guy rocking the 10yo truck with a stack of bills in the bank. Or like my man Warren Buffet buy a hail damaged truck to save money. The rich don't get/stay rich by spending money on stupied stuff.

    I concur.

When I quit the last thing on my mind was my trucks smell

The average age of cars on the road in the US is 11.4 years. Getting a new car every 2-3 years is not normal. In fact it does not make economic sense.

I traded in my 06 TRD OR V6 DCSB for a 2013 G37.... A month later I decided I missed my truck and then bought a 2013 TRD SPORT V6 DCSB. Thought I could do without it but I couldn't.

    I'm 34 and had 4 cars/trucks in my life...

Bought a Mustang and had that for 2 years....bought a new Ford Exploder and had it for over a decade....bought a new Tacoma 6 years ago...and while that sits broken I bought a $800 Explorer for my DD. There were a few quads/dirbikes/motorcycles/boats in there as well, but those are stories for different threads :D

I could afford a new car every few years, but like you said it's not financially responsible. I like having 5 years off in between car payments so I can put that cash into savings/retirement. I also get joy out of maintaining and keeping things running. Passing off my problems to someone else is not the kind of guy I am.
