Does anybody have a picture of the drain hose for your A/C from under the hood? I have a feeling that I am missing a part of my hose as the A/C condensate drips onto my frame and runs down it before running to the ground. I don't typically have a puddle under my truck when the A/C is on, instead my frame is soaked. I'm worried that this may promote rust. Yes, I am paranoid about frame rust after my 96 was repurchased by Toyota.

i am going to resurrect this thread because i have the same concern, all i need to know is the diameter of the tube and i am going to make a longer rubber hose and route it down an alternative side of the frame and not on it like it is now. i understand that it is demineralized water that comes from the air conditioning but i dont want the frame to be soaked when this can actually can be fairly easily rectified .

The OD of the tube is 5/8ths. I am not sure what the ID is though.

A buddy of mine owns a welding shop and he says they get a lot of tacomas in need of frame repair right where the AC hose drains on it.

yeah i just extended my tube down through the cross member out right at the rear mount for the passenger lower control arm.... i noticed a lil rust where it would normally drip out of the bottom of the frame.

used a piece of old air hose and a standard air hose splice with 2 hose clamps.

I just extended mine this afternoon, used a stainless and copper pipe about 2 inches long, got two hose clamps and got a length of 3 foot long of 3/8 fuel rubber hose, zip tied it to some holes in the passenger fender well and ran it back along the frame rail, zip tied it with a massive zip tie around the frame rail and then clamped it one final time around an exhaust hanger and pointed it right at the ground, should be pretty good I hope, it flows pretty good

Lmao, I hope its not too late for your frame honestly man. Idk why this isn't a more widely practiced, makes no sense to me really, its just about as simple the rear diff breather mod and heaps and heaps of people do that

Same, I got a 3/8 inner diameter hose, a length of about 3 feet and got a copper/stainless pipe with an outer diameter of 3/8 in a length of about 2 inches, stuck it in the original drain tube and secured both ends where the metal pipe was, then ran the hose all the way back to the exhaust hanger bracket for the Y pipe is, pointing it straight at the ground. Used zip ties to secure the hose

My solution was plastic vacuum hose connector, 3/8" ID hose, and zip ties
