Planning a decent little system, without going way overboard. Trying to use as much old school (pre 2005) stuff as I can, since I've seemed to become a collector.

Little progress made tonight, got everything buttoned up on the box - I'll get it on the test bench tomorrow just to run through its paces. Also got the Alpine Type X mids and Fosgate FNQ tweets fit into the ********* adapters.

~50 feet of Esoteric RCA's are run, and currently coiled up on the floorboard. Time to pull the seats and carpet to get everything run properly. 1/0 gauge power kit going in next.

Thanks - on paper (and the box modeling software) that little HX2 is going to sound pretty solid - tuned around 39hz, with a nice output curve up to about 80hz. I'm not looking for wall shaking output - but I want to feel the low end on a lot of different styles of music.

I almost feel guilty - I bought the ********* adapters, cause they were cheaper than sourcing the plastic, and my time involved to pull the doors apart and make them myself. I did make sure to make templates of them so I can knock out more in MDF or plastic quickly if I need to, without taking my truck apart to do it.

Going to be using a JL audio XD700/5 to start. 4 channel section run to each door, and the mono channel to the sub. If I decide to go active on the front stage, I'll add either a 200/2 for the rear doors, or get the 600/6 for mids/highs, and and evaluate if i think I need a 300/1 for sub, or bump up to the 600/1.

Unless something changes my mind. I told my guy to go ahead and order the 700/5 at least for now.

Thanks - I had my port diameter entered in wrong in my modeling program, careless mistake. Good news is the port is too long - so I'll fix it down the road if I don't like how it sounds in the truck.
