In my starter change out, I discovered two bolts for the lugs that apparently some dillhole cross threaded when putting the tire back on. I assume it was with the impact wrench as I can't imagine you could thread it with the wrench and not know you were doing it. I had to use super feats of strength to get the damn lugs off. You can see where threads just peeled off the bolt.

So, this piece is called the wheel hub, correct?

And I will assume it is a beeyatch to tear apart and replace?

Or maybe it wasn't cross threaded, but something screwed two of them up. Just old and rusty?

And when I tear it down, I can just replace those lug studs/hub bolts?

I just broke one of my hub bolts a week ago. Remove the caliper and rotor. Tap out the old stud. Place the new hub bolt in from the back of the hub and screw your new lug nut on the hub bolt. Place some washers or a half inch nut in between the hub and lug nut. When screwing the lug nut on, it will pull the hub bolt all the way in securely. Use some WD40 if you need it.
