Great photos! Always inspires me to take the truck out and explore. Here's a shot from my recent trip to the Owens Valley.

Not overly "scenic", but a significant picture none-the-less...

One of 17 surviving Avro Lancasters, unfortunately not airworthy though.

This picture and a quick google search has added this to my list of places to go.

Any recommendations for similar areas a little further south? What about Ouachita area?

    Hey there CowboyTaco,

Check out the Overland Guild located here:

    Link: http://overlandguild.org/

More specifically check out the routes that are linked to in this thread:

    Link: http://overlandguild.org/index.php?topic=198.0

You'll need Google Earth to look at the routes.

The route we followed the day we took the picture was the NGR (New Guy Route). We dropped off payvment and headed west off Hwy 65 @ St. Joe. Signs will point the way to Woolum Access on the Buffalo.

    Beautiful pictures

I live in AR. (unfortunately) and there are a lot of nice places out in the Western / North Western part of the state. AR. Hwy 7 is a very scenic drive with a lot of places to turn off and explore.

This is a pretty good book that I've seen in some book stores around here if you're interested.
