When I turn the wheel I can hear my tires rubbing, everything is stock. Is this a normal thing? If not, any ideas?

My front tires are hitting the plastic in the well. I'm thinking I should lift the front up and inch or two. That way I can level the truck out and get rid of the rubbing.

If everything is stock, and you're in a 2002, check your springs. Truck is old enough to where depending on how it is treated, they may be ready to give.

I would suspect worn front coil springs, the truck would be about 12 years old and they tend to sag over time.

I believe Monroe sells what they call a "quick strut", a built up shock and spring assembly, ready to install for about $100 per side or the cost of a Bilstein 5100 adjustable.

You can get complete assemblies from a few different places. The front end sag seems like a common issue. If I was swapping for stock and had the 2.7 I might end up going for the the 3.4 struts/springs instead. They *should* be set for a little extra weight and *might* be a stiffer ride until they break in, but I'd guess they will hold up longer than the lighter springs. And the taco doesn't exactly ride like a 70's cadillac in the first place.

I'm going for tundra's myself, waiting for them to show up at the house now. I've got a heavy front bumper/winch and the sag was noticeable before, same rubbing issues on the drivers side. It's gotten worse since I added the extra weight and even the passenger side rubs from time to time. Ideally, I'd like to be able to shift the front axle an inch forward but I don't think that's much of an option with IFS.
