I have a 3" OME 883 with nitros all around and AAL in the back. I want to raise it maybe another inch or two. Is there a way to do this reliably without having to go to a full 6"? I was thinking shackles in the back but couldn't find a write up on the front. Thanks in advance.

Ive heard theres a 4" kit out there somewhere but dont know who makes it if its real. Besides going to a 6" lift only thing i can think of is body lift. They dont cost much but its a 50/50 opinion on here. Some say they are bad and some say they are good. And as for shackles in the rear that would work but the front is a issue because the control arms cant handle bigger that 3" lift from what ive been told. Hope this helps some!

From everything I've read and everyone I've talked to at the large shops. 3 inches is the max in the front. No real way around it unless you do one of those drop axle kits which personally I don't see the point to but that's just me.

I would say that if you just want a higher look, then just do a very small body lift an you can get the gap covers so you can't really see the gaps. Now if you want more travel and more useable height and suspension look on the mid travel forums. I went with a fabtech drop bracket lift on my first taco. It was their most basic and it worked ok. Then my next taco I did a full 6in fabtech lift and I broke it and hated the fact that when I wanted to go long travel, I no longer had my stock cross member cause it gets deleted with those drop bracket lifts... Long story short, what do you want to achieve with your trucks suspension.

There's a reason most people including my self are against body lifts. Ever seen a truck with a body lift get in a wreck and that puck snap and strain the new body bolt? Yeah your body becomes a sled off the frame. I had a 3in body lift on an old z71. Never again. Even cornering could cause a puck to snap.

4" is the standard for full size trucks or at least it used to be , as for these , in the rear you can get 4"-5" with with some pretty well ARC'd springs , get another 1"-1.5" reliably with a moderate shackle , I mean get 4" with the springs & 1" or so w/shackle for a gain of 5" & a bit+ get ready for not only a carrier drop but probably some shims in the axle too so you can avoid the vibes, if 4x IFS as you know it's drop bracket time just to get 4" too much $$$$ & work IMO personally I think 4" with some true 33-34" x 12.50's x whatever rim you pick would (tire of your choice) Look great or even some 35" but thats alot of tire without some hammering/trimming (can you say "Tub" haha) You aren't going for 6" correct ?

Yeah but they're so Goddamned ugly & at the end of it you gain your vertical "lift" but you lose an inch or more of real ground clearance, & unless things have changed drastically isn't there still a fair amount of hacking away & irreversible shit too IIRC....

Op what size tires do you have now? Had I known I was going 35's I'd never went 6in lift and stayed at 3" then you practically have your 5 in lift right there.

This is exactly what I hear from guys after theyve run them for awhile, those fucking setups aren't cheap either are they ?? & not everyone feels this way for sure ,Some love them its just I've yet to hear someone do a normal lift & come back with a "Holy Shit, what have I done to my truck !!?? feeling like those who've gone this route, I'm a "function" type meaning if I'm lifting the truck only to lose actual clearance when its said & done Why the fuck do it unless its just to have a higher truck ?? Thats fine too, it's just prefference
