Prayer/Good Vibe/Support Request

    Some of you may be aware (or not, whatever) that I teach first grade.

    Recently, one my first graders lost his father in a motorcycle accident. The accident happened Friday morning. We had just met and talked during open house the night before.

    Besides the boy in my class, his father leaves behind a wife and another son. This all happened the weekend before school started. The boy has been in class for the past two days. As six year olds are, he's not fully accepted or aware of what has really happened.

    Dad was deployed/training/in school a lot of the time so the boy is used to him being gone. He seems to be handling things well now, but I'm not sure when the real facts are going to land in his mind.

    If anyone has some spare time for thoughts, prayers, or whatever it is you do...please some send this child's way.
