Are the emblem "TACOMA" on the '05 Tacoma front doors held on by adhesive or is it screwed in the door?

Adhesive, search for emblem removal on the forum, I cut mine off with 50lb fishing line then goo goned the rest off.

Super easy fishing line takes them off then use a finger to roll up the glue and then whatever you want to get the look right

Satoshi, debadged, rear view mirror bracket, tail gate hose clamps, trimmed mud flaps.
Before using the fishing line, heat up the emblem with a blowdryer. It will make it A LOT easier.
