I went outside today and saw I had a flat, I went and got a air compressor and proceeded to inflate my flat tire. I'm bent over putting air into the tire and get to about 20 psi and the sidewall blows out hitting me in a few places. I'm ok I'm just wondering if Anyone else had their tire blow a sidewall at 20psi? I've never seen this happen and neither had my dad. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1409188594.952838.jpg

Idk. It scared the crap out of me. Sounded like a twelve gauge going off by each ear

Tires can blow I mean they are like anything mass produced. But I hope you had a warranty.

I know tires blow. We go through a lot of them. That just seemed like a weird place for a tire to fail.

I do not know how you use your truck but I would say you probably had a defective Tire.

I think it was just a freak thing. Tire didn't have any holes or anything but the tires have 36k miles on them

The tire in the pic looks pretty worn. It could have had dry rot or been slightly damaged previously and now finally got to the breaking point. If the tire was new or fairly new I'd at least question it but not with 36k and the wear that it has.
