Wondering if any one would know if the driver door and front fender would be the same sizes from a regular cab 2wd to an extended cab 4wd. Also if the engines were different sizes would that change dimensions as well?

    naaaa they're all the same.

although I heard (don't quote me here) that the fenders between the 96-00 and 01-04 models are different due to the difference in side marker light shape but I've also heard that's bs and all fenders between 96-04 are the same.

FWIW, aftermarket fiberglass companies sell their flared fenders as compatible through all 1st gen years so that might indicate the fenders are indeed the same.
