After digging thru this forum for a couple of weeks I am hoping to seek the advice of others to resolve my dilemma. I am looking to buy a regular cab tacoma to use while we remodel our home and for future projects. I live in Los Angeles and my driveway is very short and narrow and street parking is always a challenge everywhere. I am trying to find a used 2nd generation but the prices are all high along with the mileage (120,000 average) and I am also worried about non-visible wear and tear. Having already found a used one that the car-fax mileage was 70,000 different than the odometer I am even more leery of used. I am also aware that Toyota stopped making regular cabs for 2015. So, my dilemma is should I just bite the bullet and buy a new one? Or, if I can get a reasonable price on a used one will the savings offset anything I would have to repair down the road?

Go used. As long as it wasn't owned by an idiot, it should be fine. Plus, you save a lot of money getting a used one
