I was wondering who has some good Toyota stories where it made you proud.

This summer in the Pacific Northwest we had two storms 10 days apart that leveled an insane amount of trees everywhere you looked. Gusts on the upside of 65 MPH in the first storm and steady 50 MPH winds in the second one and they hit without warning or the weather man saying they were coming. Well the second one came and a wildfire started by my parents house so my brother and I hopped in my truck and took off out there to make sure the estate was safe. We are driving down old country roads and about 150 ft. short of our turn off there was a huge pine tree that had fallen across the road. We were headed North and it fell from the East side of the road West bound. The tree didn't snap it was uprooted. On the right or East side of the road was a big weedy and scattered tree hill, on the west side it went steep to a river, and to top it all off it had just poured ao wet pine needles and foliage everywhere. So we get up there and there are cars all around and an ambulance had tried to go around the tree and had dug its tailgate in then spun its tires so it was stuck in the one nice area to get around the tree. So after offering to help the ambulance and being rejected I ask if we will get in trouble for going around and he said quite sneeringly, "go ahead if you can." So I hop in, have to go into the ditch and go from flat to off-camber and keep her straight then split a couple more big huge pine trees. Go about 15 feet up this hill in a sideways fashion and then aim for a little transition about 45 feet up the road. So I did this with little to no error only almost running over my spotter (little brother) and made it to the other side where there was a small cheering section of people stuck in cars then continued the journey to my parents house.

After this little venture it made me very grateful for my little truck and made me remember why I ever wanted onet. So I was curious if any of y'all had any good stories.

Straight up no pictures. I apologize but I was pretty focused on making sure my parents house wasn't on fire after checking on my sister and Brother in Law's house. We were running around apocalypse style... Sorry boys. Dropped the ball on this one....

My daughter was born in the blizzard of 2006. Some of the drifts were 60+ inches. For the most part we got 4 feet of snow in one day/night.

Everything was shut down, including the Postal Service. But Ol' Red got us to the hospital no problem.

Less than a week later it snowed another 30" for our drive back home from the hospital.

Again, no problems getting home even though the snow on the streets of my neighborhood was up to my grille in spots.

This is the only photo I have... somewhere around day three, truck parked in the hospital lot. Didn't have a shovel or anything. Just scrapped the windshield somewhat clean and backed out of that.

I remember that blizzard. It was epic. I spent the day transporting doctors and nurses to and from the hospital and their homes.

Go for you on that. The hospital essentially shut down when we were in there giving birth and post birth.

Staff couldn't rotate out, food couldn't get in... it was a semi disaster (all things considered being in a 1st world country in one of the best natal hospitals in the nation).

That picture was taken when I finally had to exit the hospital grounds to get food because they didn't feed me for two days. The food shortage required them to only feed the mothers.

    Reserected from the dead.
    I build trailers.

Built a 7 x 14 dump trailer that weighed just shy of 4k empty. Customer was a neighbor of mine and the trailer was in his back yard, snowed in. I told him I would grab the trailer for him and get it to dry pavement. He had tried with his Excusion, but was too big to manouver in his back yard. Was told no way that little truck is gonna move the trailer. Hooked up and drove the thing out with no issue whatsoever.

Our Ford vs Toyota bashing has not deminished one bit over the years and only get worse:)
