TRD CAI, or the volant w/ the ram scoop? Anybody have any info on which one is a better choice? I have a 12' Tacoma dblcab 4x4.

    Thanks

In all seriousness I would go the TRD if I wanted the CAI for looks. You'll like whatever you get though!

The TRD does look good. But I do like the ram air. Thanks though

    both choices are flawed.

the new TRD (made by K&N) has the tube diameter based off the 4runner/fj and it can cause lean conditions on the tacomas.

the volant can also cause check engine lights.

do like said above, AFE stage 2 SI

its a favorite among the boosted and non boosted crowd.

I have the Volant box installed (DIY) and have had no issues with it at all. I have seen a slight improvement in MPGs. I am very picky about looks, even under the hood, and I think it looks fine.
