I don't plan on hauling much ever. I travel with miscellaneous weight on occasion but not much! And I already have a 1.5" spacer lift so not looking to increase!

OP - I would recommend checking out 5 Leaf Replacement Pack. Provides 1.5" of lift, and will help support weight better than stock, as well as help to minimize/eliminate axle wrap issues.

    Just toss the block.

I went with OME 661's up front and Skyjacker add-a-leafs in the rear. Revived the leaf pack, gave about 3", and no sag two years later. Sits just a little tail high, which is fine due to the canopy, and I do haul with it.

    Indeed!

Your tutorial on spring building was really useful when it came time to take my packs apart and add the extra leaf(s). I used some silicone sheet to make the friction pads, and glued them on using Permatex B. Then I painted them of course! No squeaks.

If I wasn't so lazy I post the picks.

Thanks again for the excellent write up on leaf spring construction and rebuild.
