I have a 2012 Dodge Power Wagon with 285 70'R17 BFG A/T's. My son has a new Base Tacoma 4X4 extra cab with 245's on 16's. He wants to get new rims and I need bigger tires. Will my 285's fit on his rig after he gets some 17 inch rims?

    Thanks,

    Bob

lol...I would take a PW over a Taco any day of the week...that thing is basically limited only by whether or not it will fit where you are going. Other than that, it will go up anything one way or another...

That said, I have 265/75/R16's on my Taco and they are great. A little taller than stock but no rubbing or anything.

I've been drooling over the new PW a bit. But, then I think about the gas, the payment, and the fact it wouldn't fit very well where I like to go.

I've got to hold off...I buy too many cars.

Thanks for help fellas. This is my dream truck. I had a 74 as well muddog but in a standard cab with the 4 speed. It was a "Sno Fiter" edition and I beat that thing bad. Bought it in 82 or so when I was 17. This new edition of Power Wagon is crazy. I take it off road and you can't stop it. Yanked out a few stumps with the winch as well as my sons or a co-worker stuck in a mud pit or a snow bank. Run it through the car wash and take the Mrs our to dinner and it drives like a Caddy on the Highway. Really amazing truck.
