So I need some help. I installed some aftermarket smoked headlights on my truck last week and i can't seem to get them aligned very well. I looked around on here and found the garage door or wall method where you are so many feet back but it stil doesn't seem to work for me. I get my lows somewhat aligned but when I turn on my brights while driving, they seem really high and i can't see crap. Any ideas what I can be doing wrong or anything i can try? Is there a chance the tint on my headlights is hindering the beam? thanks

    headlights are shown on pic

I'm certain that dark tint isn't helping. Are the housings aftermarket? If so, they can be a bitch with quality compared to oem.

Get rid of those damn tinted lenses. That is your number one problem. If you can't get it right then take it to a shop that has a headlight aimer.

i never even use my high beams and i live out in the country and drive on really dark roads sometimes. i've leveled out my truck so the front end is 1 1/2" higher than a stock truck. i adjusted my headlights to aim as far down as they will go. after you go so far they just stop moving and there is no more adjustment.

I think with tint that dark on your headlights you don't have to worry about the aim of your lights. Does any light even get through?

So I ditched those lights and went back to my stock ones for now. I like the way they look on my truck but I'd rather be able to see at night than look good during the day. I'm just hoping it's not too late to get them sent back. Thanks for the input guys
