Pouring concrete stairs?

    This might be my best option.

    The more I look at it and think about it, the concrete looks a little....off.

    Maybe I didnt mix it good enough? Who knows.

    When I did mix and pour it, most of the water came to the surface...and I mean ALOT of the water came up. That didnt seem right to me.

    That's kinda how it works concrete is one of those things that if your not in total control it can get ugly fast. And working bag by bag can make it even more difficult.

    Don't know how far in the boonies you are, but some places you can rent a trailer loaded with premix to tow yourself.
    Another advantage is the commercial mixes already have additives, etc.

    Some places also rent large mixing trailers.

    Don't waste your time patching the lips, they won't hold. Even if you do manage to make the patch look good (which is difficult because the color will always be a little off), eventually, water will work it's way into the crack and pop the patch off. I'd consider some sort of bolt down stair nosing instead or cap the stair with some sort of stone.

    Get a concrete delivery next time , use 3/8" aggregate
