    I got my 2004 4WD, V6 manual , SR5 Toyota Tacoma Xtra cab totaled July 30, 2014.

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/1s...ld-i-rebuild-take-settlement-go-shopping.html

It took till today to find and close the deal on the next one.

Along the way many OP's here knowingly or unknowingly shared information and helpful advice. Without all of you and the Tacomaworld community I certainly would not have been an informed buyer.

This is my 3rd Tacoma; 2007 Tacoma Access Cab 4WD, Access cab, 6 speed manual, SR5 package. 43000 miles. $22,400 out the door (as they say ) from Low Book Auto in Las Vegas, NV.

I started this morning before 8:00 AM after a short test drive Tuesday afternoon and finished everything around 6:00 PM Wednesday. The dealership threw in a fluids change out, full tank, Wash, Rotation and alignment cause I was not a happy customer near the end.

Congrats on the new truck! It took 10 hours at the Dealer though? Good God..... what was the holdup? What made you unhappy at the end? Just the time it took?

EDIT: I see it didn't take "10 hours" but was spread over 2 days. Still the question remains I guess, what took so long?

I picked the Tacoma up at dealership at 9:00 AM. 2 hours for my mechanic inspection from 10 till noon. Took from noon till 3:30 co-coordinating with my credit union and sales management at the dealership. They kept faxing incomplete or incorrect forms to my loan officer.

As mentioned, I had done a short test drive/inspection and price negotiation the afternoon of the previous day.

When the final sales order got faxed over complete and showed up with an additional $600 fees tacked on you can imagine I went slightly ballistic. I threatened to walk and that got corrected/substantially reduced plus they threw in some service to indicate how contrite they were. So loan paperwork completed about 4:00 and back to the dealership with the check plus add in a side trip to pick up my friend so she could retrieve her car at the dealership.

Then an interminable wait while sales and fiance people kept appearing and disappearing...I'm not kidding. Finally all their paperwork is done, checked and signed. Then I had to wait in the dealership lounge for fluids replacement, oil change, wash and detail. I got to watch the US Open tennis matches and drink some complimentary raspberry tea more than I wanted. But I did miss Las Vegas rush hours so it wasn't all bad; just exhausting

Only 43k miles, pretty low for an '07!

    20k on my 2013.

I am amazed at how little some people here actually drive their truck, looking at some of those "mileage" threads going around.
