so I'm trying to install my OTRATTW switch and I'm getting pretty frustrated. i have followed all the instructions and it's still not lighting up correctly. the bigger problem now that i need help with is i blew something involving the dimmer. i tapped into the HVAC dimmer wires to connect to the switch. However, now when i turn on my headlights the HVAC controls no longer light up. my dash does and it and be turned up or down using the dimmer control. any thoughts on why just the HVAC controls are not working?

Put a pic of the wiring on the back of the switch, also it sounds like a relay gave out or a fuse popped.

Top left is ground to car
top right is add-a-circuit going into fuse box underneath steering wheel
middle is coming from off road light relay
bottom left is "negative" coming from hvac control (green with white strip)
bottom right is "positive" coming from hvac control (solid green)

when it was working before, the bottom of the switch would always be on and when i could on my headlights the logo would come on. on OTRATTW website it said that the bottom should only come on when the switch is on and the top should come on when the dash lights are on. now i now those guys are smarter than me so i know i screwed up somewhere i just need someone to point it out to me.

also is there a picture of what relay i should pull out to check so I'm not having to pull every single one out to see if it's bad?

that didn't work either. for some reason, if the car is completely off the switch works great, but as soon as i turn it on everything stops working. there are so many different things that are happening with each configuration it is hard me to explain it to y'all. i guess I'm going to go through all configurations until works.

The way I listed above is the correct wiring for the switch. Is your relay wired correctly? Where did you put the add a circuit on the fuse panel?

im assuming that the relay is wired correctly since when i connect the wire from the relay directly to the ground the lights come on... which is what the switch should do right? i connected it to the IGA no.2

IGA 2 is fine for your add a fuse. Just to confirm on the relay, it should be:
85 - to chassis ground with 12-14 ga wire. Ground neg lead from light bar to same location on chassis with 12-14 ga wire.
86 - the wire coming from switch terminal 3
87 - to positive lead on light bar with 12-14 ga wire.
30 - to fused line directly to battery with 12-14 ga wire
    87a - not used

just got everything working. it was due to a bad ground at the relay.

Nice! Usually something simple like that. Glad you got it working.
