Just wondering if anyone has a shorty or stubby antenna installed on their taco. I read that some have loss of reception with these antennas and others say that they work great. I was wondering if it this was caused by the antenna itself or the area they live in. Anyone in the Houston area have any problems with loss of reception?

I have the stubby. Looks cool and receives the weather but my stations are all fuzy. Dobt buy it if you listen to FM. Since I listen to only xm i bought it to receive the weather. I love it for that as it looks sporty.

I have one and it works great. My stock one broke off in a car wash and was looking at them online. I didn't order one out of the same fear you have but was in the autoparts store one day and saw one for $15 with several adapters. I paid less than $20 for the antenna and an easy-out to get the stud of the broken one out, 10 minutes later I had all of my FM stations back.
