I have a 2014 Double cab Pre R Sr5. Luv it!!!! I did notice that at speeds of 45-50 mph or more I hear an air leak at the top of the drivers door. Took it back to dealer they installed new weather stripping on the door. Did not stop it!!!! Before I take it back again, I do believe it is a window prob, has anyone ever had this occur, and/or is it something that is normal with the Tacoma???? I would say it is not normal. Thanks in advance for your input! Vinnie V.

Yea, theres a couple threads about it. I am having the same problem, i havent found a cure, but im also not driving much above 35 or so. My truck just drives about 2 miles to work and back mainly. Its 5 months old with like 3600 miles on it.

Possible warpage of the door structure, not allowing a good seal when shut?

If it sounds like a rattling noise put some silicone on the weather stripping. I first thought it was my seat belt that made the noise which was right in my ear but discovered that some silicone paste solved the issue. It was my weather stripping sticking together...

Tape around just the window inside and out. If it goes away you have a staring point. If not, you can try the same with the door frame/jam.

You can also try putting a narrow piece of paper in a spot on the door seals, close the door and see if the paper can't be pulled out it's touching (repeat for the whole door circumference - if it does pull out easy it may be the leaking area.

OR - Record the air leak/whistle sound and copy it over and over on a CD and give it to the Service manager..... :)
