I really wanted an AC, it just looks more balanced... Buuuut getting married this year and the backseat is going have some little people in it one day.

Great choice man, you're gonna love it! I have the exact same truck and it hasn't let me down. Mine has been all over the place camping, hunting, and fishing the last couple years. Perfect size too, it can squeeze back into places where most full size trucks wouldn't make it.

I recommend adding a front skid plate, bed mat, and spraying some kind of rust proofing oil or wax coating on the frame and fuel door hinge while it's clean.

What exactly do you recommend for rust prevention? I've heard of people using linseed oil, but not really sure. And I get it about the frame, but the fuel door hinge?

I recommend using Fluid Film or Amsoil Heavy Duty Metal Protector. You can search both of them on this site and find alot of information. Just don't use any rubber coatings or bed liner, they will dry out eventually and crack, trapping water and making things worse than using nothing.

The fuel door hinges are cheap and rust easily on these trucks. Just hitting it once with a little of whatever you put on your frame will prevent that and keep it opening smooth. Search "fuel door" on here, and you'll see what I mean.

I am assuming you bought this site unseen. My question is, Is it certified not to have frame and undercarriage rust?

Well I haven't "bought" it yet (fly up tomorrow). I wouldn't never spend that kind of money without looking at it first! ... I would also find it hard to believe that it could have much, too any, rust in the two years it's lived in Virginia (services every 5k at same dealer on Carfax). Spent close to half my life in Maine and I've never scene a car rust in only two winters. Even my old Nissan D21 didn't have any rust to speak of in the 3-4 winters it saw up there. And those things may have had the worst rusting frames of all time, 1st gen tacos aren't even that bad. That said if it's rusty I'll walk away, no question.

Nice truck. Hard to find a good deal. Took me 7 weeks looking everyday. Be sure to look it over very carefully. Not everything gets on a carfax. My windshield was replaced and that never showed on the carfax.

Picked her up today! Truck is cherry. Only negative is that it doesnt have the rear leaf TSB. But I sprung for the "wrap" warranty which extends the bumper to bumper to 7years/100kmiles... Going to get that done.
