Need a trustworthy mechanic in Rhode Island...

I have a bad vibration issue that is getting worse. Took it one stealer and they claim its 1 u joint and offered to replace it for $330. Claimed it had a little play in it...... its been a week and now its worse. Seems to me to be more than that..

I need to take it to someone I can trust. I know its a long shot but maybe someone on here can recommend a good mechanic in RI.

I drive a 2009 Tacoma 4 door.

Probably is a U Joint. Cannot help with a mechanic. I do have a tip. Get them ALL replaced. If one is worn chances are they all are worn.

Toyota want 330 which is stupid. You can have them all replaced for less.

 

Don't know any in Rhode Island, but Mass Auto Tune in Acushnet MA are very good people. I went to school with the owners sons who now work at the shop. I get all of my work done their that I don't have the time / experience to do myself.

 

I found somebody who did all three for $200. It was worth it and appears to have fixed the vibration....
