I noticed the other night on the way home I have a left rear wheel bearing starting to hum when the road curves to the right going straight is fine but when the load gets out on the left side it hums just slightly.

Question is how difficult are these to replace?

So looks like you need special tools to remove the bearing form the shaft

Any one have a list of parts besides the bearing I need? I probably going disassemble it as much as I can and take it to toyota and have them press off and on the new bearing

The bearing module comes pretty complete. It's not that difficult to remove everything, but yeah, you pretty much need a press and a few specialty tools to do it the right way. Rockauto has good prices on those.

Why don't you just order a complete assebly from BamaToy and not worry about the press and all?

    Please enlighten me

NM i just spoke with him he only sells fronts I need rear. I think I will just order the part from rockauto then take the truck to the dealer and have them do all the work just put it on a credit card. zero % interest until 2016 lol /sad face. I spoke with a service advisor they said they would charge 2 hours if I brought the Axle in off the truck and had them install the bearing. whole job pays 2.9 hours to do.. just let them do it and save my self coming in on a day off and taking it all apart plus running around
