PUMP or MOTOR RUNNING

    I was washing my '14 Pre Runner and could hear a pump or motor running near the rear wheel wells. Any idea what this could be. Truck wasn't running and the keys not in the vehicle. I started the truck, shut it off and it stopped.

    The Dust Bowl
    There is a fuel pump in the gas tank but it's not supposed to run when the ignition is turned off. However, there also may be a pump for the emission system that keeps running for a bit.

    Happens usually 5-6 hours after the truck has been turned off. Freaked me out the first time I heard it but busted out the interwebs and got my answer. It's also in the owners manual but who the hell ever reads those lol?
