On the Bed bath and Beyond note, I enjoy that place. Just for all the "as seen on tv" stuff. We all know that, that shit is always awesome. And we usually need it.

Separate accounts so we never argue about money, and it helps that she makes half again as much as I do.

Aww hell naw. I'll go to the thrift store if I want plates and silverware and all that. I couldn't do it.
When I go to the store with mom, I'm the one comparing price per pound to get the cheapest deal, trying alternatives, and I always have to ask her one of the following: "Can we afford that?" "Do we need that?" "Why do you need beef jerky and ice cream when we are behind on bills?" It's my money being used to buy groceries, not hers.

We have separate accounts but we obviously have access to one another's. We never fight about money. Every once in a while I'll ask where she got that or "that's new" haha and the same goes for me when I buy Tacoma shit! my hobbies are much more expensive.
The separate accounts thing is just crazy to me. I make more than my wife does... For now, but I don't see it like that, I see it as we make $xxx together.

I am the sole earner in my home. So it used to bother me when my wife would spend money on things I did not approve of (i.e. outfit that gets worn once). Now I don't mind. Helps that she is thrifty with money.

I'm probably better off letting her buy the plates and utensils. I was in the local Walworld the other day and walked by the so called "clearance" section. I spied a set of Correle (sp?) dishes marked "34.99 was 49.99". I was thinking these would be perfect to put in the camper we just bought. Kind of pricey to me, but I like the Correles and we use them daily. Outdoorsy looking pattern, so I grabbed them.

Few days later I was passing by the houseware section and happened to spot the regular inventory of Correlle. They were all marked 29.99

its a hard question. what's better - a wife who isn't very good with $ or no wife at all? Even harder when you have a family & kids.

For all the stuff 4x4 has put his wife through, she deserves the expensive cooking stuff. :D

You haven't used that mixer for anything to do with your truck..i mean jeep?
